The human skin has three types – dry, oily and normal. People with dominant Vata dosha have dry skin, those with Pitta dosha have oily skin and Kapha dosha people have moist & clammy skin. Taking care of your skin helps you avoid skin infections and allergies that might happen because of exposure to environmental dust and toxins in the atmosphere. You can find products in the market promises better skin care but they may contain chemicals which may cause various allergic reactions on your skin in the long run.
Here are some simple Ayurvedic tips that will keep your skin soft, supple and well-toned. Ayurvedic skin care tips:
1. Raw Milk: You can always increase the glow of your skin by cleaning your skin and pores with raw milk. Raw milk can be quite useful in removing dirt and impurities which are present in your skin which soap can’t remove. It also adds a subtle glow to your skin; thereby acting as a moisturizer. You can even add some lemon juice for added benefits.
2. Orange Juice: You can also try applying some fresh orange juice on your face when you wake up. It is rich in vitamin C which helps your body to fight signs of ageing and acts as a good toner for your skin, especially if your skin is oily.
3. Aloe vera & Sandalwood: You can try several face packs made of sandalwood, aloe vera and even potato. Aloe vera has anti-inflammatory properties which can help reduce inflammation and redness around your pimples or acne. You can rub your skin with a slice of potato. It helps to reduce the pigmentation of your skin.
4. Lime, Cucumber & Onion Juice: Applying a mixture of lime, cucumber and onion juice is also effective in decreasing pigmentation. Instead of onion juice, you can also use sandalwood oil.
